Fly fishing is a river, lake, ocean and estuary sport.Fish species, behaviour and environment
Freshwater fish include salmonids, mahseer, carp, grayling, perch, pike. zander, musky, small mouthed bass, large mouthed bass. Furthermore yellowfish, brown trout, rainbow trout, steelheads, bull trout, lake trout, huchen and marble trout. Freshwater fishing is the pursuit of catching fish in unsalted water. This includes lakes, ponds, resevoirs, canals, rivers and streams. The types of freshwater fishing can be categorised into, bank fishing, ice fishing, boat fishing and fly fishing.
Inshore Saltwater
Inshore Saltwater fishing.
Inshore saltwater fishing is coastal fishing that occurs in shallow water. The water and weather conditions are calmer than offshore. It is classed as up to 9 miles from shore and up to 30 meters deep. Inshore fishing locations include reefs, grass flats, beaches, rocks, mangroves, channels, docks and bridges. As such you could be fishing on a beach, off a bridge, wade onto flats or take a boat out. Boats are normally smaller with fewer amenities than off-shore. The fish caught are generally smaller than offshore, therefore the equipment will be lighter. Many species can be targeted by fly bait and lure jig fishing.Offshore Deep Sea

Offshore deep sea fishing also known as big game fishing or blue water fishing is carried out on a large body of water ie. the sea or ocean. You will likely be so far offshore you can no longer see it. More specifically over nine miles offshore and in deep water over 30 meters. Big game fishing is carried out in temperate and tropical environments world wide.
