Inshore Saltwater fishing.

Inshore saltwater fishing is coastal fishing that occurs in shallow water.  The water and weather conditions are calmer than offshore.  It is classed as up to 9 miles from shore and up to 30 meters deep. Inshore fishing locations include reefs, grass flats, beaches, rocks, mangroves, channels, docks and bridges.  As such you could be fishing on a beach, off a bridge, wade onto flats or take a boat out.  Boats are normally smaller with fewer amenities than off-shore.  The fish caught are generally smaller than offshore, therefore the equipment will be lighter.  Many species can be targeted by fly bait and lure jig fishing.
